In
2001, the concert was a sellout,
so due to public demand, the following Christmas, Jack Valentine again
presented 'An Evening With Frank Sinatra', a night of terrific live music
from Jack and his big backing band, The Ben Foster Enigma Orchestra, in
London's prestigious Savoy Hotel ballroom on the 16th of December 2002.
If you weren't there, you should have been! It was a stylish event, befitting
the performance of such magificent music, a true tribute to a jazz legend.
The evening commenced with a drinks reception before dinner, because Included
in the ticket was a three course candlelit dinner with wine and full waiter
service, during which the Enigma
Jazz Trio played live before Jack took to the stage with the full orchestra
for the big show!
The
setting was luxurious, the sound was incredible, and the show featured
all the songs from classic live Frank albums such as 'Sinatra At The Sands',
'The Main Event', and many other famous

standards
which Frank and Jack have been associated with over the years. Again,
it was a
sellout
- An evening of unique and
sophisticated dining
and dancing entertainment for the three hundred and sixty-five guests
each paying a gilt-edged eighty-five pounds per ticket. And what a ticket!
Afterwards the party continued with dancing till the small hours with
DJ Richard Linton playing all the swinging dance and party favourites.
It
was the Christmas event in London this year... And it will be next
year too. The perfect one-in-a-million occasion for Sinatra fans, parties,
corporate entertainment, anniversaries, or just for strangers in the night...

Christmas
2001's highly successful tribute concert was billed as An Evening
with Frank Sinatra and starred Jack Valentine himself in the lead
role as Sinatra.
Jack was backed by the dynamic 35-Piece 'Enigma Orchestra' led by Ben
Foster, one of the most brilliant young arranger/conductors in the business
today. The Enigma Orchestra delivered the original studio sound of The
Great Nelson Riddle, Count Basie and Don Costa Orchestras which backed
Frank Sinatra during the classic years of his greatest songs and recordings.
For a live event this was an astonishing achievement. Ben, supported by
the fantastic arrangements of Dave Foster, led the orchestra, while Jack
handled the audience.
The event was an unparalleled success as Jack single-handedly filled up
the huge Lancaster Ballroom with 352 guests each paying £75 per
ticket to see the show!

And
when it was finally all over in the wee small hours of themorning and
the happy guests spilled out into The Strand, there was not a classic
song left unsung, nor a dance-step left untried.
Jack Valentine personally fixed the entire orchestra, ran the event, and
sold all the tickets himself. (He also sang all the songs!) History was
made that night - It was one of the biggest events ever put on at The
Savoy and nothing quite like it had been so successfully staged there
since the heyday of Sinatra himself, who actually used to stay at the
Savoy whenever he was in London.
Lionel Benjamin, Food & Beverage Director at the Savoy, described
Jacks achievement as incredible, something he should justifiably
be proud of!
Frank himself might have added: Thats some calling-card, baby!
Let's do it again, same time, same place... And they did!
